Ski and smile

Interesting facts:

  • Course starts on Sunday or Monday.

  • Course duration: 4.5 or 5.5 days
    Sunday to Thursday each day 4 hours
    Friday is race day with prize-giving ceremony at noon (end of course)

  • Registration takes place at the Mia Alpina reception:

    • You will receive your ski school bib, ski pass, and course card
      (Beginners will receive a yellow beginner card)
    • Phone number verification
      (If possible, please provide two numbers – ensure you can be reached)
    • If your child is to be taken to the gondola in the morning and picked up again in the afternoon by the Mia Alpina buses – please register the transfer daily!

Transfer:

  • The transfer list is located at the reception in the Mia Alpina

  • Please enter the children’s names legibly into the transfer list DAILY, by 8:00 p.m. the evening before!!!

  • Please tick the appropriate boxes for transfer options:

    • Uphill and/or downhill ride?
    • Is your child allowed to leave the underground parking garage alone after arriving at Mia Alpina?
    • Will your child be attending childcare?
      (Please fill out the child’s passport in the Kids Club beforehand!)
  • Please be in the underground parking garage promptly at 8:55 a.m., fully dressed and equipped!

  • Will you be picking up your child early from ski school?

    • Please CHECK OUT your child at the ski school office (skiCHECK, Spieljoch mountain station)
    • Don’t forget your child’s skis!
      • You can drop them off at the ski school office or take them to the hotel

Daily schedule WITH transfer:

  • 8:55 a.m.
    Meeting point for the transfer in the underground parking garage
    (Don’t forget to register the evening before!)

     

  • 9:45 a.m.
    Start of the Warm-Up Party with Alpini

     

  • 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
    Ski lessons including supervised lunch

     

  • Approx. 3:30 p.m.
    Arrival at the hotel’s underground parking garage

Daily schedule WITHOUT transfer:

  • 9:30 a.m Day 1
    Check in at the SkiCHECK office at the Spieljoch mountain station (gondola ride approx. 20 min)

  • 9:45 a.m. from Day 2 onwards:
    Meeting point: Beginner children’s area at Spieljoch mountain
    (gondola ride approx. 20 min)
  • 9:45 a.m.
    Start of the Warm-Up Party with Alpini

  • 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m
    Ski lessons including supervised lunch

  • 3:00 p.m. – Course ends
    2:55 p.m. – Children are picked up by their parents at the beginner’s children’s area

Illness / absence / lunch with parents :

  • Register absence
    If a child cannot attend, for example due to illness, please inform the skiCHECK office at the Spieljoch valley station in a timely manner (child’s name and ski instructor’s name)

  • Lunch with parents
    Parents who are going to lunch with their child can pick up their child’s lunch from our skiCHECK office at the Spieljoch mountain station starting at 12:05 p.m.

Fans and spectators welcome!!!

Awards Ceremony

Friday, around 11:30 a.m. at the Spieljochbahn mountain station

Ski equipment checklist :

  • Ski helmet!!!
  • Ski goggles (to protect your eyes from injury, wind, and other hazards)!!!
  • Suitable gloves (to protect against cold and injuries)!!!
  • Ski clothing (Please check the mountain weather forecast!)
  • Ski underwear/sunscreen/hand warmers (depending on the weather)
  • Skis/Ski boots (Please note the ski room opening hours!)
  • Ski poles (not for beginners!)
  • skiCHECK ski school bib

  • Course ticket with your name clearly written in your bib pocket (or, if applicable, your yellow beginner’s pass)

  • Ski pass (from age 6) – usually extra pockets in the ski jacket

 Please bring your children to the meeting point on time, fully dressed and equipped!
This means closed ski boots, helmet with goggles, gloves already on, and jacket/ski suit zipped up.
Skis and ski poles (for advanced skiers) of the appropriate length.
