Hochfügen Ski Resort –
from 1,500 metres, right at the entrance to the Zillertal
Hochfügen lies at the end of a well-maintained mountain road above Fügen. The ski resort begins at around 1,500 metres, where the road ends. Surrounded by peaks reaching up to 2,500 metres, the valley basin opens to the south and, in fine weather, enjoys sunshine from the morning until the lifts close. Because the village is situated at such a high altitude, you can often still ski on natural snow here when the meadows down in the valley have long since turned green.
For families
The little ones learn at the Kidspark by the Lamark lifts. There’s a covered magic carpet, gentle practice slopes and short distances to cover. Our ski school office and shop are located at the valley station of the 8-seater Jet – so the meeting point, equipment hire and lift ticket office are all close together.
For experienced skiers and freeriders
Hochfügen is the venue for the ‘Big Mountain Hochfügen’ Freeride World Qualifier. We’ll show you the slopes used in the event during our freeride courses – complete with avalanche equipment, qualified guides and a route tailored to your ability.
Carry on
Via the link to the Hochzillertal, you can ski straight into a second large ski area without having to take off your ski boots. There is also a free shuttle bus running between the Geols Panoramabahn and Hochfügen, which takes about ten minutes to reach the top.
