THE children’s ski school at Spieljoch – where they really look after you!
Group lessons for children and teenagers – beginners and advanced – at Spieljoch/Fügen
Children’s ski lessons ‘ski and smile’
(groups of 3 to 8 children)!
The children’s area with its unique facilities.
To better protect your children from the wind and cold at the start of their daily ski lessons, we offer a unique ‘indoor meeting point’ situated between the sports shop and the ski school office at the ‘Bergloft’ mountain station Spieljochbahn – and your children will also benefit from our own heated room, including free hot drinks throughout the day! To make things even more convenient for parents, your children can leave their skis and poles with us in the ski storage area next to the ski school office at the mountain station. That way, at the end of the day, you can simply take the gondola up and back down! Come and see for yourself!
Children’s ski courses for beginners and advanced skiers are available for children aged 4 and over. Children under 4 can check into our nursery for the little ones, located next to our ski school office on the mountain!
Courses for beginners start on Sundays and Mondays, whilst courses for advanced skiers run daily – there are no ski lessons on Saturdays! Ski course times are from 10.00 to 12.00 and 13.00 to 15.00, with a lunch break in between or, on request, lunchtime supervision. On Fridays, the weekly closing party takes place at around 11.30 am at the ‘Medal Plaza’ at the top station, featuring an exciting final race and an ‘Olympic-style’ prize-giving ceremony.

‘RRS’ Junior Programme
‘RRS’ stands for Race, Ride & Style and offers ski course participants these trendy, popular activities as part of the ski course.
Once your juniors have been allocated to a group at the children’s ski school (Sunday and Monday), they will automatically be enrolled in the ‘JUNIOR RRS Programme’ from Tuesday onwards. This is, of course, subject to the skiing ability of this group. From Tuesday onwards, the ski instructor will then introduce the group to the “RRS” programme.
Requirements:
- Group allocation via the ski school is required
- Skiing ability at Level 3 or above
- The ‘RACE’ (slalom), ‘RIDE’ (off-piste and mogul runs) and ‘STYLE’ (trying out the fun park) sessions will take place between Tuesday and Thursday.
“skiCHECK levelCard”
From beginner to expert in six steps!
The LevelCard supports the ‘Safe on Ski’ programme! In six steps, our qualified ski instructors will guide your children from beginner to expert level. We teach in accordance with the technical guidelines of the Austrian Ski School Association. All children and juniors at the skiCHECK ski school receive their own personal LevelCard, onto which the ski instructor sticks a sticker showing the level achieved at the end of the week. Click on the link or on the LevelCard to see the different levels that can be achieved!

Spieljoch End-of-Season Party
Every Friday
As always, the children meet up with their ski instructors at the skiCHECK mountain station in the children’s area. After a tour of the course and a warm-up, the children head to the start of the international ‘kids skischool race’ at the Spieljoch, where group winners are decided. The race takes place with a presenter and music.
After the race, what is surely the biggest ‘kids’ race party’ the Zillertal has ever seen gets underway at the Spieljochbahn mountain station. Trophies, medals and certificates are presented at an awards ceremony, where the top finishers pose in front of their national flags whilst their national anthems play!
